This is a comparison of images made by twenty different AI models, all from the same prompt... one featuring a 1920s model. Naturally, different prompts work better on different models, so think of this as just one data point out of many.

I think Virtual Utopia XL gets overlooked a lot. Probably because it's near the end of the list of checkpoints. Alphabetic order can be a harsh mistress sometimes. Its description says it is suitable for "both authentic and anime images," which feels like it's saying it does everything well. But then, maybe it does. It doesn't feel like the best, but it seems to be consistently good, no matter what you throw at it.
