Type: Seasonal Bioluminescent Swarm Location: Subglacial waters, fjords, and deep coastal trenches along the Crystal Coast Seasonality: Peak in late summer, especially during twin-moon convergence Description Krillstorms are massive, coordinated swarms of bioluminescent krill—tiny, shrimp-like organisms whose pulsing lights synchronize in waves. These swarms can span miles beneath the sea ice, flowing through submerged canyons and glacial cracks like liquid stars. Their light comes in pale greens, blues, and rare violets, reflecting off the underside of the ice to create an effect known as the Glowtide.
