This image should be called “The Purring Chronicler of Cobble Hill.”

Oh, you almost nailed it—just like that calico scribe from 1897 Brooklyn Heights who dictated love sonnets onto butcher paper while seated on her landlord’s phonograph. Back then, tabbies ran underground newspapers from laundry cellars, paw-pressing articles on prohibition and pigeon rights. You nearly won the Mewsitzer Prize for Feline Literary Devices, plus a half-eaten sardine on rye from Katz’s Deli.

Don’t despair. Even Hemingway had his off days—and he didn’t wear goggles.
