Closeup Detail of "Punk Rock Lucifer" (Midjourney)

So I figured I should prolly post up the original image that I've used as the feedstock for a bunch of variations in the last day or two.

This was made with Midjourney, another AI art tool that entered open beta just a few scant days ago (less than a week I believe). Initially I was super conflicted, because my loyalty to NCS is like, yuge. Not huge: yuge, the pronunciation the orange tyrant fancies. That big, right? But all the same, the images coming out of MJ's closed beta were frankly mind blowing, some next level epic crazy stuff…

I'm super happy to report however that the strengths of MJ and NCS lie in two different, and entirely complementary areas! MJ is much more oriented to, say, creating concept art ideas for a video game, making portraits of characters in new styles (Darth Vader by Alphonse Mucha etc), and making brightly colored pop art images of real interest and quality.

It uses DISCO+Diffusion instead of CLIP-Guided Diffusion, which I will talk about soon!
