Houndtoon

Lore & Behavior: Houndtoons are the natural predators of urban nightmares. They hunt through abandoned buildings, amusement parks, or liminal spaces. They’re scavengers of memory, often imitating cartoon catchphrases, jingles, or laughter in distorted voices to lure their prey. Some claim they emerge when media is forgotten — entire reels of abandoned animation birthing these “living reels.” They are territorial, marking their lairs with graffiti-like sigils painted in dripping black ink.

Combat Traits:

Animated Distortion: Can phase short distances (15 ft teleport) by skipping frames of reality.

Ink Vomit: Spews a cone of inky bile that blinds creatures temporarily.

Mocking Echoes: Mimics familiar voices (Disadvantage on Wisdom saves against fear if they know the voice).
