Gothic Challenge: Winner
Beneath the opal gleam of the moon's full face,
In fields where fog's embrace lays thick and wide,
A raven-haired maiden, in time's own grace,
Stands poised, where shadows and mysteries bide.
Her dress, a tapestry of the night's own cloth,
Flows dark and deep as the endless void above,
With jet black Docs that tread soft,
She moves, a specter of lost love.
Around her, the air whispers tales untold,
Of cathedrals grand with windows stained,
Where light once danced in colors bold,
Now only the moon's pale gaze remained.
