Once upon a time, there was a little village that suddenly became mychotic. The houses started to grow mold on the walls, then the mold turned itself into fungal agglomerates that the dwellers (oh, stupidity!) found lovely to eat.
Soon the mushrooms invaded everything, and the roofs became umbrellas, and the village was no more the same -- until even the villagers became fungi.
