The lady in the store didn't tell me what she was queuing for, or for how long she'd being carving whilst queuing. I wonder if she spread a blanket on the floor to catch the wood chippings as she was carving her creation...or if the security guard had kept an eye on her like he did with the queuers who acted suspiciously under their overcoats in the summertime. I wrote a short story whilst queuing once. Twice! It was more of a wait than a queue to be honest with you, see...I was in a launderette, watching my clothes go round and round on an accidental BOILwash and rather than prepanic at the sight of my clothes being shrunk to doll-sized, I distracted my eyes downwards and using the back of an old envelope I found my hand writing a story that my mind had no conscious part in. I think they call it 'automatic writing'. In a laundromat, of all places. I think the fried egg is a real fried egg that someone left on the cute rat carving. Only joking - it's amber and melted plastic!

Thank you.  I really appreciate your comments... Right now I feel shut out? Shut down? I'm not sure,  but the people I keep in touch with? It almost feels like they decided that I need to put on my big girl pants,  and stop needing them.  Everybody needs somebody though, right?  I don't know,  but for the past 4 days, I feel incommunicado, really,  desperately alone.
I know it's just a coincidence that the two people I have "spoken" to each and every day since Mikey died, have both on the same day decided to not text, and in fairness,  this is not "all-about-me" ville, because I'm terribly worried about my one friend who is about a year younger than me, and she teaches young kids, and she's been catching every single fever, cold, flu, from those little disease vectors, and she wasn't completely well last week but she HAD to work...And I have heard from her and she's "ok", but I'm just terribly worried about her. Anyway,  sorry for bothering you with all this. Thanks 4 "listening". 💙
