Balrogs are truly the sort of foe no one in their right mind would ever want to face – though, having said that, the dragon Ancalagon the Black being literal miles in length makes this fellow look like a house pet! No thank you!

Being trapped in a dark mine with a beast like this is a truly horrific prospect. You’ve captured such a wonderfully fearsome creature – as if the shadow and flame weren’t bad enough, he’s packing a fiery whip and usually a massive sword, too!
