All eyes turned to the source of the echo. She stood serene, radiant—like Aurevalis, yet undeniably different. Her presence bent the air itself, as if reality adjusted to her being. She stepped forward, each motion echoing grace and force. Again, her voice pulsed through every mind: “Nothing? Then who are you to impose upon Light?” The question struck deeper than reprimand—it was judgment.

Aurevalis’s eyes widened in recognition. She stepped forward, and at once, the chamber erupted in blinding white light. Silence fell, save for a private exchange between the two beings, their words lost to all others.

Then, for the first time, Aurevalis spoke aloud: “Apologies, Harbinger. I had no idea they were sending you. Forgive the General—she is young, impulsive… untempered.”

The Harbinger’s gaze swept the room. “So be it,” she said, and the light calmed.
