By day Julian Vega is a quiet, soft-spoken photographer specializing in long-exposure night shots and urban landscapes. People find him a bit of an enigma—he avoids bright places, rarely makes eye contact, and keeps odd hours. But he has a poet’s soul and often finds beauty in desolation. His camera sometimes captures glimpses of things others can’t see. During a rare astronomical alignment—an eclipse during a lunar convergence—a shadow entity from a forgotten dimension attempted to cross into Earth’s reality, Julian, caught in the phenomenon while chasing the perfect shot, became its unwitting vessel. Instead of being consumed, he bonded with the entity, forming a delicate truce. Nyx was born, a guardian born of shadow and light’s struggle.
