mikhail’s life is as plain as vanilla. he works at a roadside convenience store and nothing much happens on his hometown. until that one snowy night…

on his way home, the traffic lights in the middle of the intersection begin to act strangely. it starts off steady, red-yellow-green-yellow-red, which he didn’t think about it much as it might be a defect. but gradually, it speeds up, like its putting a light show.

he stops on his tracks, watching the strange traffic lights pulse a pattern he once ignored much of his daily life. what is it something abt it that causes to act strangely?

Two human cower in fear as their towering amphibious alien captors discuss their fate over the ships control panels. One of them wishes his offspring, born on the ship, to return home an officer in the interstellar navy, and to acheive this he must have training. The other, in command of the ship and its crew, is hesitant to show any hint of favoritism towards one of his subordinates by letting his hatchling drive the ship. The other parents would cause an uproar wanting THEIR offspring to control the vessel, and some have successfully hatched hundreds of screaming, crying squidlings who ALL want their turn at the helm. The humans, once numbered in the billions, have provided a tasty sustenance for the crew, which is why they were bred on earth to begin with over a million years ago. Human colonies dotted the universe like drive thru restaurants, are harvested, leaving a small batch to repopulate. The ship had but two left. The captain eyed them greedily.

This concept art depicts an alien spaceship's control panel with bizarre controls and a viewscreen showing planets exploding. Alien tentacles manipulate controls, while tiny humans are kept as pets in a terrarium.
