An homage to Langston Hughes and his wonderful Jess B. Semple stories.

(I no longer have the book this story was in. The short story was entitled "Final Fear". Jesse B. Semple's description of his various insults, both personal and physical is from the book, as well his answer, but I cannot find the accurate quote of his interlocutor. This resembles what was written. The stories about Jessie were delightful and occasionally hilarious.)

That's got to be the absolute top best image I've ever seen you make CsS! You really piqued my interest in seeing if I could find his stories online but alas no. Just bits and pieces and I'm not sure if any were a complete story.
Copyright laws differ some between countries and in Canada, copyrights don't extend as far back as the US whether the author's Canadian or foreign. I know as I checked them out when I wanted to read some Somerset W. Maugham stories. I could since my IP provider's in Canada. I couldn't if it was in the US. I'm sure I could with the Jess B. Semple stories but I guess they're just not famous enough that anyone outside of the US would bother doing so. Really a pity. ☹️
