Walking down the hall of school, I notice everyone has smiles. But what if those smiles are fake? What is they're plastered, stuck, like cement. Gross gooey cement that dries, and takes forever to scrape off? They don't notice my deadpanned eyes glaring. Wanting to feel that spark of laughter. Wanting to playfully shove the friend next to them as they tell a joke. But I know I'm too...weird. I'm to...morose. No one wants to be friends with someone negative all the time. No body. No one. No human. But as I glide my way, I look toward a blue locker, and there, a beautiful butterfly lands. Why must a beautiful butterfly be locked away in such a sad environment? In a school filled with noisy children? Doesn't it want to escape? Why does it hide? Why must it camouflage? I walk over to it, but it doesn't move. Is it as afraid as I am to look at the insect? Such a small creature, and yet my heart is racing. I don't like bugs. Not even the gorgeous ones. (More below in comments..)
