This eerily reminds me of some of my older work on Mage, where I also juxtaposed a ginger girl falling autumn leaves...

I found that high contrast black and white is really great at enhancing the emotional impact of a drawing or photograph.
In my experience, a limited amount of accent colors tends to reduce this particular aspect, but that also enrich the vibe in another way...
