She's always been one of my favorites. Apart from the Abrahamic demonization, she was a ancient Mesopotamian goddess who's name derives from "lil" = "wind" in the Sumerian language. She is associated with night, lost and abandoned things and wild places. Often appearing as a malevolent spirit, like a succubus, she can sometimes be protective. A force of nature
