*** I've created a collection for this story: "The Faerie Expedition" -->
(Continues from here-->
)
Third faerie, a redhead of half a yard looking at us with mischievous smile, and I realize one thing: there's magick in the air, and it's not pixiedust. The faeries are all incredibly beautiful -- and I'm talking Vogue-cover beautiful, you know what I mean -- but somewhat in my Nikki's display their faces are distorted, like someone has smudged them over the pixels, and they're out of focus -- and boy I do know how to manual focus my Nikon!
So I ask Frank, who's the tinkerguy of the family: "When you finished gaping at their little tweetties, can you come here and see what's wrong?"
"Uh-uh", he says. He doesn't even look at me, poor guy. But I know it's no techincal problem.
