Some say he witnessed an apple falling down on the ground. Some say an apple bonked his head for an "AHA!" moment.
I say a coconut fell on his head and he got an "Ouchie" moment. After getting released from the hospital, instead of fearing coconuts, the brave Newton climbed a tree and fetched himself a good, hard coconut.
But....
It wasn't for the purpose of eating.
Newton brought a coconut to his lab to research why it hit him so hard.
Thus, began the era of researching textures of coconuts.
