Red Ghast

Its most terrifying ability is its capacity to manipulate the minds of its victims. The Ghast can create illusions within the fog, making the player see things that aren’t there or distorting the environment to confuse and disorient them. It can also mimic the voices of loved ones, drawing the player into deadly traps or deeper into the fog where more dangerous creatures await.

The Red Ghast has no distinct face, only a swirling vortex where its head should be, with two faint red lights flickering deep within the mist, giving the illusion of glowing eyes watching from within the fog. Its body is amorphous, with long, billowing arms that seem to stretch and condense at will. The mist that makes up the Ghast’s form leaves behind faint, crimson trails in the air, like the remnants of spilled blood caught in the wind.

Though the Red Ghast is not a physically powerful creature, it is incredibly dangerous in its own way. It moves silently through the air, passing through walls and barriers with ease, and it is completely immune to physical attacks. The Ghast feeds on the fear and panic of its victims, growing stronger as they grow more terrified. As it drains their life force, it becomes more solid and corporeal, allowing it to attack directly with its razor-sharp claws.
