The 2015 Holographic Protest in Spain was a groundbreaking demonstration against the "Ley Mordaza" ("Gag Law"), which restricted public protests and free expression. Organized by "We Are Not a Crime", activists projected holograms of protesters holding banners onto the Spanish Parliament in Madrid. This symbolic action bypassed the law, which banned demonstrations near government buildings. The holograms, created by filming and processing footage of real people, were displayed at night, representing a ghostly yet powerful crowd. This innovative protest drew global attention, showcasing how technology can challenge censorship and amplify dissent under restrictive legal conditions
