I have received a lot of likes and comments, I wont have the time to respond to everyone in person.
But to all who voted, liked or commented on this creation, thank you very much for your support. š š«¶ I did not even know who Matsumoto Hoji was when I started. So with the help of an LLM, I did some research and found his famous frogs. Then contemplated what to do, I did not want to copy him directly, so discussed which animals are important in Japanese culture. Ended up with this tanuki or raccoon dog and tried a few models. Z-Image Turbo clearly gave the best result so tried a few different aspect ratios. I realized after a while that something was missing so decided to give him something in his hand like paws, a tea cup. And there we are. I never could have imagined that it would do so well. But I think even Matsumoto Hoji himself would like it.
