Among them is Euan Millin (not known to be blood-related to Bill Millin, Lord Lovat’s “Mad Piper,” though bound for sure in the rich tradition of military pipers). His nimble fingers, captured in intricate paper folds, wield the iconic instrument that swells with Scottish tradition.
As you take in the details of the folds, envision the scene where this left-handed virtuoso brought the captivating melodies of the bagpipes to life. His laird, an esteemed patron, bade him to play not only in the thunderous echoes of battle to rally his clansmen but also in the jubilant harmonies of weddings and festivities.
