The rain had stopped, but Clawdia had not. Her infallible nose had led her straight into the lion's den. Or bird's nest rather. She squinted and tried to make out the window behind which the birdman must be hiding. Must be one of the upper stories. Bird of his size surely needed a drop first to get into flight, right?
She didn't know what kind of bird she was after. Pigeons dropped themselves from edges and had a rather peculiar flight. Robins and t.ts dashed off in a hurry when they saw her coming. Crows... Clawdia rolled her eyes. Crows usually laughed at her. Pesky buggers, the lot. But a birdman? How would he behave if he saw her?
The birdwoman. Unusually happy to see her. Clawdia didn't know what to think of her. Was she a can opener or prey? She had decided to go for pets and treats and was rewarded; wasn't so sure about the birdman now. Scratching her ears she decided she'd drop the direct approach and try the fire ladders, maybe sneak through the window if she got lucky.
