It's rather sad how many photos I've seen on various sites on the internet of abandoned buildings from grand mansions to old hospitals, offices, ordinary homes and more. I understand most times why it happens but to look through the rooms through the photographer's camera, one can't help feeling the impermanence of life. Some still had the table set and ready, one had a closet full of beautiful old clothes, one was an old-fashioned wedding dress that the photographer laid on the bed to show. There were dental offices with the chairs and equipment mostly intact. The woodwork, panelling, leaded glass windows, elaborate wrought iron and carved wood balusters - it boggles the mind.
Anyway, your library images brought those photos to mind again. With you creating these images, I feel you must've seen similar photos yourself.
