Solomon Islands (Melanesia)
Loko Matua shaped the land and waters, then taught how to move with tides, storms, and seasons. The teaching is simple: life flows not by resisting change but by stepping into its rhythm, as steady as the sea returning to shore.
Beautiful, powerful, and poetic. Lovely in all respects. My Dad spent over 2 years in the Solomons during WWII. He was appalled by what the Japanese did to the islanders. As in many of the places you've visited in your images, the people native to the islands were & are incredibly resilient. Amazing outfit you have on there. Cheers
