Have you ever read "I Heard the Owl Call My Name"? Margaret Craven, 1973? A portrait of the Kwakiutl people near Vancouver Island, perhaps a century after their 'annexation' by the Franciscans. I just came across it, and get a chance to read something of worth again. Came at a good time, just as I was giving away my last boxes of priceless books, of Native and Indigenous Sky Knowledge and Stories.
