2 - Lena was often invited to host events during her college years due to her charm, quick wit and improvisational skills.

She briefly tried doing some standup, but quickly realised that confident delivery and a sympathetic audience (both of which she was nearly always certain to have) were much more important to success than actual quality of the material. She abandoned that route as she felt that success could be random and undeserved.
