The World Tree in its Prime

The Tree has always been as healthy as the ecosphere. Which leads the other is anyone’s guess…

So this is a hale, hearty version of the sad, shriveling World Tree I depicted as a sort of apocalyptic portent here earlier today:

It turns out the Tree leads the exosphere - to engage in some gratuitously obvious metaphor, mistreat the roots and the crown will die. This image was meant to show a city around the roots and I may yet work some more on it. The middle image was then to be the tree with a hemisphere of foliage cut out, supporting a giant tree-house city full of factories and industry and smoke, harvesting the wood it rests upon for fuel (another obvious metaphor)! Time will tell if I end up with a successful instance of that image 🫤
