Thank you.  The painter whose style I was trying (not very successfully in this instance) to emulate went through a phase of adding superimposed geometric shapes to add visual interest.  I wondered if this would work to suggest heat.  So your comment delights me no end.

Glad to hear it. It is difficult to emulate a particular artist, especially on some models, but it's a great picture.
