I am happy that you connect with him.  I am regularly surprised how few people under fifty hold any significant sense of him.  Such a shame!

If you open the image to full size in its own tab, you can see that it did follow 'somewhat' the guidance for his eyes, albeit in a hazel sort of way.

Given that the shadows around his eyes were part of what I intended, I paused with this one for a while, although I have a couple of reservations regarding the result.

The YX-81 Jart was developed as a complimentary fighter craft to the YX-79 Javelin. As the Javelins completed their first passes through enemy lines, and began to circle back, the Jarts would enter the fray, and begin selectively targeting the enemy and herding them into the line of the returning Javelins and its devastating weaponry, working together like a well oiled machine.
