03 - Giving

GIVING: To give of oneself without regard for consequence — to act purely for the sake of another — is the truest measure of love. To give one’s own life to save another’s is the most precious gift any soul can offer. Elluna watched as her beloved Companion, Shimmer, leapt into the raging river to save an innocent child swept away by the current. Without hesitation, Shimmer flung herself into the torrent. With fierce determination she pushed the child to safety… but the effort cost her the strength she needed to save herself. Tragically, Elluna could only stand helplessly on the bank, powerless to intervene, as her valiant Companion slipped beneath the churning waters.
