The forest did not cheer. It breathed. Slowly… deeply…as if something long held tight had finally been released. They walked where shadows once lingered. Now touched by light. The rabbit no longer flinched at every sound. The hedgehog did not hide. The deer walked taller. The owl flew lower. And the fox… The fox looked back. Just once. The tower was gone. Or perhaps… no longer needed. Because what they had freed was never meant to stay hidden. And what they had become… could not be undone. They had left as creatures of the forest. They returned as something more. Not rulers. Not legends. But keepers. And though the trees would never speak it aloud— the forest would remember.
