Ladies who lunch...

Agnes, Elsie & Dora wait for their weekly bus to take them shopping in town. They'll call into the café first for a sausage roll. Agnes likes tea with her sausage roll, whilst Elsie and Dora prefer a nice creamy latté with powdered cocoa on top. Agnes and Elsie like brown sauce squirted on the plate to dip their sausage roll into. Dora just likes hers without any sauce. She thinks that dipping your savoury pastries into sauce in public is quite common. Not ladylike. Other than the tea/coffee, brown sauce/no sauce differences, Agnes, Elsie & Dora are almost completely identical to each other. Except Dora likes soap operas, Agnes likes face wash, and Elsie hasn't allowed water to touch her face since being kissed by Cliff Richard in 1958. It was more of a 'peck' than a kiss, if truth be told, but Elsie has a vivid imagination when it comes to her celebrity stories. You wouldn't believe the one she tells about spending a weekend with Bon Jovi in 1984! The whole band - not just John!
