「花は桜木人は武士。」”Hana wa sakuragi, hito wa bushi.” —> “Among flowers, the cherry blossom; among men, the warrior.” This is one of the most famous Japanese proverbs; it compares the cherry blossom to the samurai, since they were both considered perfect (one among flowers, the other among men), and both died young (the Yoshino cherry blossom withers in a few days, as the samurai dies young in battle).
