Hera’s Deception

Hera, queen of the gods, burned with jealousy. She descended in disguise, weaving doubt and suspicion into Semele’s mind. Her words were honey laced with venom: “If he is truly Zeus, let him reveal himself.” Semele, trusting and curious, listened. The moment is one of persuasion, of vulnerability and manipulation—two women locked in a dance of deception under the open sky.
