it probably wanted to be georgian, but I'm not complaining because it's slung me out a heap of 1780s type gowns as well which are damned hard to get, and I do write in the French Revolution - I picked an unlikely hero in Chauvelin in the Scarlet Pimpernel stories and ran with him finding redemption after Percy rescued his daughter and then, in my first story about him, him. I've got a few Georgian Masquerades set about the same time too, so having a chemise a la reine is handy.
