Nyxara

Having gotten swept up in the attempted revolt against their "gods" with Xyphara ... ... she received the same punishment -- transformed into a gorgon-like creature, banished to the catacombs under the Dyson ring's inner surface, and hunted by the same townsfolk as Xyphara.

Nyxara took it more or less in stride, however. She'd always been an introvert, preferring to spend her time reading in a quiet place, so she didn't mind being separated from everyone else. She'd always considered herself unattractive before her transformation, so not much has changed aside from being turned into a giant snake.

She spends her time exploring the catacombs, which are actually the control centers of the ringworld, figuring out how the tech works, learning and seeing new wonders, and remaining happy in spite of everything.
