If there's one prog-death album you need to listen to on repeat this year, this is it. Broaching the topics of life on other planets, geocentrism, and surviving the collapse of neutron stars (among other things), Kellie Vitrus and her quintet are lightyears beyond their contemporaries. Lush walls of sound, eye-crossing drum fills and heart-stopping gutturals blast you through a 52 minute concept album replete with sci-fi references. Keep an ear out for the numerous Starship Trooper audio samples. The highlight of the album occurs halfway through during "Gravity Well Malfunction" with Duskin Waltz's guitar duel with keyboardist Rick Dalton.
Cruserion's Call goes on the road with Fractal Gates, Slugdge, and Allegaeon 3/25 for the "Cosmos and Chaos" tour.
