Riven, Owl of the Shade

Riven was born an urchin, scrounging the streets to survive. Theft was a skill he honed and sneaking was natural. Unfortunately not all thefts are quite what they seem. You see, Riven stole an Owl Token from a priest of shadow. Over the next few months Riven found himself changing. His night vision grew keep, his steps swift and silent, and his mind honed. He was elated at first, reveling in the power of the god of shadows, knowing somehow that it was a blessing bestowed by the token. Little did he know the responsibility of the token was never one he was intended to hold.

Now Riven is a shade of the God of Shadows. A mortal gifted with the ability to morph into the form of a shadow owl and supernatural abilities. He hunts the realm for deceitful shades or those that wronged his patron. Bound in service until one willingly takes possession of the token.
