As a private consultant, Mortimer contracts out with the city of St. Louis, Missouri. He specializes in forensic analysis of insect activity found on the bodies of murder victims. In his lab, he will often have 3 - 4 bodies for analysis. But some suspect that Mortimer may be freelancing to increase his business. Some of the local detectives speculate that he may be bumping up the death count unnaturally. A recent spate of thrill kill murders have some worried that Mortimer is the real culprit of the crimes.

What a compelling back story. St. Louis, Missouri. Lot's of bugs there. I wonder if Mortimer is responsible for the murders? Perhaps he is misunderstood? He looks like a killer. It's unwise to judge a book by its cover however. I suppose we will have to follow the evidence to get to the bottom of this as the mystery unfolds.
