Mirella “Mothlight” Duskwhorl is a tiefling who doesn’t carry a lantern, she carries what she’s stolen from them. In Lumenharbor she crawled into an ancient storm-drain to save a child and met a darkness that bargained without words. Since that night she can snuff lamps with a touch, swallow the glow, and walk with dawn trapped behind her ribs until her eyes leak gold. Branded “Lantern-Eater,” she fled into rain and alleyways, becoming a Gloom Stalker who hunts by stealing sight from the cruel. She keeps small glass jars of different lights (dockside amber, swamp-green, winter-moon blue), one named Mercy. Rumor says the Lantern Guild lost more than a child that night, it lost a lock. Now a cult called the Sunless Choir is harvesting light permanently, and the thing beneath the city tugs at Mirella’s stored glow, hungry for the day she finally comes back full.
