No light in the castle can be seen,
For centuries, it's been in a state of spleen.
"She'll return in a thousand years," I say,
Time powerless before the phantoms' sway.
Long ago, black mirrors were hung,
A curse to see myself in reflection among.
Her footsteps unheard on the ground,
But at midnight, she's on the rock, unbound.
"She's alive! Alive!" he cried in vain,
Moonlight unable to break the chain.
Amidst the black walls, he found no bliss,
And like her, became a phantom in abyss.
For hundreds of miles above the dark castle,
Two souls forever trapped in a hassle.
For centuries, they won't let go,
Two phantoms never to meet, oh no!
"She's alive! Alive!" he cried in vain,
Moonlight unable to break the chain.
Amidst the black walls, he found no bliss,
And like her, became a phantom in abyss.
