You can tell if it is a manifestation based on its coloration and characteristics. This example is "Sadness", possessing a blue, slimy appearance, with characteristics similar to that of water or slime. This particular specimen is in the form of a man, though the identity is not known. The entity most likely formed due to a recent trauma, as it is noted to have only one leg, most likely an amputee coming to terms with the loss. Though, judging from how dark the hue is, it is safe to assume that this sadness has been present for quite some time.
