Early snowfall: II

Snowing just before Halloween this year... The ghouls are chosen to clean off the sidewalks so the rest of the monsters, demons and spirits can move freely about and haunt humanity. When the snow hits before Halloween, someone’s got to clear the way. Unfortunately for these spectral souls, the underworld union sent them. Hovering just inches above the ground, muttering curses older than frost, they shovel so the other creatures of the night can glide freely across the mortal streets. The living may sleep warm inside, but outside… the dead are on snow duty.
