Can you try explaining this differently? I'm having trouble understanding your message, but if it's advice on lettering I def want to hear it!

For me I usually try to get as close as I  can to the intended text on an image I like and want to stick with. Then from there I use a mask over the parts of the text that I want to change, and just keep trying different settings using the same mask, until it creates something good enough to work.
