The two Murk 'SpaceKegs' arrived unaccompanied, as Commander D'Iræ had asked, and matched pace with the carrier as though intimidated. D'Iræ herself and her second in command used light wands to guide them, one at a time, into the main hangar, cleared of all fighters and maintenance crews. The Commander approached the lead vessel as the bay doors closed. When the light went green, she released her helmet catch with a soft hiss.
"Can you vouch for the other pilot?" She asked her former classmate, Kantiru Shen, as the mowril woman hopped to the deck.
"Last run. He's retired as soon as his feet hit the deck," she replied with her ears perked in wariness. "Why?"
"Just didn't want to shoot anyone," Commander D'Iræ grinned. "You get a pass, of course."
Shen took notice of the empty hangar. "Vlerj. You aren't joking."
"No. This never happened. Make that clear to him if you haven't already. You don't want me to."
