The deal we've been working on all year. Maxine has done most of the hard work but to get the final touch it's one I have to do in person. About to head in to sign the £280 million deal to sell off our west country quarry and road maintenance contract. As the road contract is up in 2 years time it's a good time to sell. Originally we planned to keep the land but once Maxi did all the research and calculations to repurpose the land if required, it was easier to double the asking price! So here goes. Weaver started as a quarry business in the 1700's today the last part of that history is going.
Congratulations on the deal. Being very much the sentimentalist (and hence no businesswoman) I'm truly sad that the original core business is disappearing entirely. Any original artefacts from where and when it all began?
