Do they seem to be drawn to the wine, or do they just drop out of the tree and happen to land in your glass?  We have a moth (*Sphingomorpha chlorea*, the sundowner moth or beer moth) that is attracted to alcohol and damages fruit in orchards, but I haven't found reference to it becoming an economic pest in your neck of the woods.

It won't be till spring. When fall came with potentially frosty nights, I took them inside and they're now pupating. I asked and the red one's a male and two females. When they emerge from their sleep and "make-over", I'll have to make sure I get the right leaves for when the eggs hatch. When young, the larvae don't drink yet. There's an age limit. It's not until they're in their last instar that they're ready to drink. The wine makes them sleepy (just like me but without a headache) and so they're happy to now pupate. Boy, caterpillar husbandry is quite involved! So expect a notification from me in late summer. 🐛🍷😂
