Floating close to Uranus

Sometimes you spend hours and hours tweaking a creation, trying to get it just right. Other times, in just a few tries, you make something that you love and are happy to submit without any edits. I was very fortunate with the latter for this DC, and absolutely thrilled to get Daily Runner-up. It came at just the right time, as I was running very low on credits!

I had no idea it was doing so well in the challenge until I was woken up with a series of pings on my phone - I usually only get three or four likes on each picture, so I was very confused until I realised my placing! I've made a lot of new friends through interactions with this picture, and enter the DC each day with similar hopes of placing somewhere in the top 20% - with varying results!
