A miserable night

As the sun set, they were still trudging through the shallow water. They needed to find a place to stay for the night, but nothing seemed suitable. They only came across a few ridiculously small, soggy islands, none big enough for both of them and a fire. Besides, there was nothing that was dry enough to burn. That night, they sat on one of those tiny islands under their blanket, with wet bums and only each other for warmth. They wished they had stayed where they where that morning.
